This page is a “Show & Tell” page for some of the things I have made. Mostly so I don’t forget them, because I like making things, and then I usually give them away.

Undyed aran weight cotton donated to me became this throw that was auctioned off at a fundraiser. I made this in 2008 when my first son was in utero.
This was the finished Aran weight cotton throw made in 2008. It was heavy.
This was a crazy quilting project I made at a workshop at the RBG (2009?). If I remember her name I’ll post it here but she used to be the gardener at Dundurn Castle.
This is the inside of the crazy quilting project. It’s a sewing notions organizer. I gave it to my Mom as a gift so she has it now and treasures it but probably doesn’t use it.
This was my first hand-spun project. It was Blue-faced Leicester from Spun in Burlington. I spun it, plied it, and then knitted this scarf for my husband. He never wears it anymore so I do. It’s lovely and silky and warm. Great fibre!
My first sock knitting project with help from Grandma (2010)
These finished socks were made from a bamboo yarn from a Mary Maxim kit – not much stretch to the yarn. Too much bamboo isn’t good for sock yarn. Also, I made them a bit too small.
This is Briar in his cat bed. He is one of our cats and is very intelligent. This is probably a 2016 project.
I made a bunch of crocheted cat beds from leftover and donated yarn and sold them as fundraisers for the local school. This one was for Maggie, who belonged to a friend. Maggie is no longer with us.
This scarf was for a local girl in my son’s class. They used to be friends but then they grew up. I don’t see her anymore but I hope this scarf keeps her warm and reminds her that she is loved.
Close up of scarf (circa 2018). This yarn was Cascade superwash wool from Handknit in Hamilton. It’s lovely to work with.
I made this poncho with sleeves when the kids were little – I got the yarn in Listowel on our way back from a vacation in Kincardine at the beach. The yarn was half alpaca and way too hot. I eventually gave it to a friend who was moving to Nunavut.
